Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Property Manager, at least 5 years experience in the MFI, to join our award-winning team. The preferred candidate will have experience in student housing (individual leasing or rent-by-room).
The Property Manager is responsible for maximizing all phases and performance of their property and the day to day operations of the community.
The candidate should have knowledge and fluency of Property Solutions' Entrata and/or Yardi - preferred, but not required. Theymust be proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel, have a basic knowledge of best social media practices and possess excellent communication skills.
Candidates should have 5 years of experience as an Apartment Property Manager, be very organized, strong in budget management, team building, multifamily/student housing marketing, resident relations programs and resident retention programs.
Their duties include but are not limited to:
Ensure property is rented to the fullest capacity and confirm the leasing staff techniques are effective in obtaining closings
Overseeing and enhancing the value of the property by developing the staff and maintaining positive resident relations
Supervising the training and performance of employees. Motivate employees to perform quality work and create a sense of urgency
Execute superb and consistent customer service to residents by providing a clean and well-maintained property to ensure that all resident requests and services are handled promptly and efficiently
Monitor the activities of maintenance personnel and subcontractors that work on the property to ensure prompt, complete, and courteous service and repairs for residents and for the communities
Prepare and or review reports including daily traffic and follow up, weekly sales reports and monthly sales and budget reports
Train and direct the administrative work activities of office staff to process rental applications in accordance with Fair Housing laws and company guidelines
Oversee the leasing, turnover, move-in, and move-out process at the communities
Minimize delinquency through managing aggressive collections efforts, and follow up to ensure procedures for evictions are maintained
Complete all accounting and operational reports as required by the corporate office and ensure compliance with established operations policies and procedures
