Phlebotomist
SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.
Adheres to all established policies and procedures in the collection and/or processing of specimens.
2.
Demonstrates proficiency in the handling and processing of specimens.
3.
Demonstrates proficiency in all laboratory computer related tasks associated with processing and/or phlebotomy.
4.
Shares daily workload in the phlebotomy/processing section including outpatient areas.
5.
Prioritizes work to assure completion within the assigned shift and according to required TAT.
6.
Exhibits an understanding of how the processing/phlebotomy areas contribute to the overall functioning of the laboratory.
May assist in the training and instruction of new employees.
8.
Exhibits excellent customer relations in dealings with patients, visitors, physicians, hospital staff and coworkers.
Qualifications EDUCATION Required - High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE Required - phlebotomy experience/training Preferred - processing experience Our Consultants have the freedom to manage and direct their own careers - determining whether an engagement is the right fit for their schedule and professional goals.
