Job Description:
The University of Florida Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine is currently seeking a full-time academic board certified or board eligible Sports Medicine Surgeon to serve as the Director of Women's Sports Medicine.
This position will be an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor on a tenure-accruing or non-tenure accruing track.
Title and salary will be commensurate with experience and academic qualifications.
The Director will lead the effort and will collaborate with multiple specialties to provide coordinated and comprehensive care for women who wish to attain and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Responsibilities will include patient care and teaching with emphasis on women's sports medicine.
Efforts toward extramural funded research is also encouraged.
Expected Salary:
Salary will be commensurate with experience and academic qualifications.
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate will have completed an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency, a one-year or greater Sports Medicine Fellowship and passed Part 1 of the Orthopaedic Surgery Boards examination.
MD or DO degree is required and the candidate must be eligible for an unrestricted Florida Medical License.
