Responsibilities:
This career service position will perform duties associated with the We Care Network, a private/public partnership providing volunteer health care services to low income, uninsured residents.
Duties include determination of eligibility, procurement and coordination of volunteer health care services, data collection and analysis, program development and evaluation.
Specifically, the incumbent will coordinate the We Care Oral Health Component (OHC) following internal procedures and protocol; secure and coordinate volunteer health care services based on client specific needs; organize and implement dental clinics in accordance with program objectives; conduct client eligibility determination interviews in accordance with established guidelines for healthcare services; schedule client services as instructed within specified time frame; collect, input and report OHC dental clinic data and outcomes; assist with FBCCEDP duties including application processing, client reviews, voucher processing, appointment scheduling, and other duties as assigned; complete and submit OHC individual clinic reports, quarterly and annual reports; liaison with volunteer healthcare providers, students, dentists, UF and SFC staff as instructed and in accordance with We Care guidelines; perform other related duties as required by Supervisor; attend meetings, in-service programs and workshops to update skills.
Incumbent may be required to work during or beyond normal hours or days in the event of an emergency.
Emergency operations functions include but are not limited to manning Special Needs Evacuation Centers, Red Cross Shelters or responses to threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
The incumbent is also responsible for securing the designated information sets for the purposes of protecting confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access for all information, both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy and electronic formats and must exhibit the FL DOH values:
ICARE (Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Responsiveness, and Excellence) at scheduled headquarters and when traveling to consortium counties and/or attending meetings, to both internal and external clients.
Finally, incumbent must complete all mandatory trainings in the TRAIN system as required by policy or delegated authority and complete EARs time record accurately within seven (7) calendar days of the end of the pay period.

Knowledge of general office procedures, devices (fax & copy machines, etc.
) and practices.
Knowledge of Microsoft computer software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and review work for accuracy.

Ability to effectively communicate with professionals and public.
Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with others.
Ability to manage a multi-line telecommunications system.
Qualifications:
Minimum - Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.
Position requires set up and oversight of volunteer dental clinics in evenings biweekly and weekends for special events or disasters.
Preferred - Bachelor's degree in public health related field.
Knowledge of and experience with databases, EMRs, and EHRs.
Experience working in a dental clinic setting.
