Job Description:
UF CVM Career Services supports students in the College of Veterinary Medicine in career readiness from their first day on campus.
These services include student career development and employer relations.
The UF CVM Career Services Student Assistant will support the Director for Career Services in employer research, outreach and program involvement.
Additionally, the Student Assistant is responsible for supporting and educating fellow students throughout their career development.
Essential Functions:

Assist with fostering and maintaining employer relations with new and active employers with the purpose of creating post-graduation and educational opportunities for UF CVM students
Provide one-on-one assistance and career information to students and alumni topics include:
resume, cover letter,CVs, LinkedIn profiles and letter of intent reviews, interview strategies, and conducting mock interviews
Support student employer development programs (e.
g.
, Career Day, Networking Events, Conferences, Educational Events, and Lunch and Learns)
Communicate with employers in-person, through email, phone, bulletin boards, and other correspondences.

Assist with career fairs and career-related events, college activities, and the development and implementation of programmatic goals.

Assist with creating and conducting presentations to employers, students, and campus partners.

Perform administrative duties including:
managing data, developing resources, maintaining records, contributing to annual reports, analyzing data, and other office tasks.

Support employer, student, and outreach tracking efforts in Excel and Google Sheets
Develop marketing materials and assist in managing CVM Careers social media accountsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required/Preferred:

The Office for Academic and Student Affairs within the CVM is open Monday Friday, 8 a.

Employees will be expected to work during regular business hours.
During the fall and spring semesters, employees may occasionally work between the hours of 7:

00pm to assist with special events.
