Job Description:
The Director, Undergraduate Business Career Services serves as the day-to-day operations manager of our Undergraduate Business Career Services office and the key point of contact for over 5,000 business students within the Warrington College of Business.
This includes the leadership, training, and development of a high-performing career coaching team of six individuals, along with the oversight of our undergraduate Centers of Business Excellence coaching model, and our undergraduate Career and Peer Mentor Program (CAP).
The Director will also provide day-to-day career planning, advising, coaching, the creation and delivery of career workshops, and the accountability for direct placement of our business students into internships and full-time employment for a specific population of undergraduate business students.
The Director will also collaborate from time to time with the Director of Employer Relations in engaging with employers to build and maintain relationships aimed at increasing internship and employment opportunities for students.
He/she will also be responsible for managing the collection and reporting of key performance metrics used by both internal and external (e.
g.
, rankings) audiences.
Metrics to include our student first-destination data and career coaching effectiveness and engagement data for the Undergraduate Business Career Services team.
Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of this process and the data collected is a crucial component to the reputation of the Business Career Services office, the Heavener School of Business, and the Warrington College of Business.
The Director will be a member of the Business Career Services (BCS) leadership team in collaborating with and providing strategic direction to the office in partnership with the Assistant Dean of Career Services, Director of Graduate Business Career Services, and the Director of Employer Relations.
The Director will also serve as our point of contact and relationship manager with the Assistant Dean & Director of the Heavener School of Business and their respective team members, along with other key Warrington College of Business stakeholders to include academic departments, industry specific centers and programs (Retail; Sales; Finance Development Program; Business College Council and their related student organizations.
) The Director will also play a supporting role and collaborator with key initiatives of the Heavener School of Business such as UF Business Ready, Gator Ready, and Experiential Learning.
The Director will report to the Assistant Dean, Career Services for the Warrington College of BusinessExpected Salary:

TEAMS Benefits Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and eight years of relevant experience.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate is required to possess 10-plus years of professional work experience, preferably in a corporate and/or academic setting.
The ideal candidate will have professional work experience in functional areas such as university/college level career services, corporate recruiting, human resources, talent acquisition, training and development.
An MBA or other advanced degree is required.
Highly proficient with web-based technology and data analytics tools and resources, with the ability to extract, organize, and analyze data, resulting in the ability to define the data story and provide valuable recommendations and courses of action.
Ability to design highly effective presentations and workshops combined with the confidence to deliver them to both large and small audiences and key stakeholders.
Strong customer focus (ability to listen attentively to students, recruiters, and stakeholders, with the ability to understand and respond positively to their requests) is required.
Strong project management skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
An entrepreneurial orientation, proven track record of taking initiative and making things happen (i.
e.
self-starter) Excellent resume, interviewing, and job search marketing plan skills Strong understanding of business degree career paths and management level career issues along with in-depth understanding of the college recruiting employment market and corporate hiring practices/process Ability to work under pressure, with the flexibility to respond to changing priorities and fluctuating workloads Strong organizational work skills, defining tasks, prioritizing assignments, and following through on all projects independently Strong interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
