We are hiring for an entry level position to help in the store and outdoor yard area at our original location, The Repurpose Project.
Requirements:
Weekend, weekday, and holiday availability Comfort with technology:
smart phones, point of sale apps, Facebook, Craigslist, etc.
Can work independently and manage your time in a busy environment Prefer availability for 4 days/wk Ability and willingness to work on your feet for most of the day Ability and willingness to withstand heat, cold, rude customers, chaos, and gross stuff Strong preference for an ability and willingness to lift 50 lbs repeatedly An understanding that some shifts are worked entirely outside Strong preference for applicants who anticipate staying with us for a year or longer.
We want someone who's interested in building this organization with us over the long term.
You will be the first person customers see and interact with and the friendly engaging face that brings our diverse clientele back to The Repurpose Project! Responsibilities will include running the register, helping folks load items into their cars, marketing items on social media and assisting customers in person and online.
You'll also have merchandising responsibilities in both our store and outdoor yard area.
You'll take donations, identify valuable items, and price items for sale.
(Everything comes in some combination of heavy, dirty, and sticky.
Seriously, everything.
) You'll lift and move heavy items regularly and monitor the flow of items in our Intake area and store to keep things stocked and looking good utilizing an unpredictable supply of donations.
This is an entry level job, we will provide all required training.
(There are very few people on earth who can come in with all of the skills we need!) You are extra encouraged to apply if you have skills or special interests in any of these areas:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
