Role Purpose Responsibilities Design and develop features for NBC Sports Group properties such as NBCSports.
com, NBCOlympics.
com, and ComcastSportsNet.
com Implement sophisticated user interfaces using industry standard technologies and techniques Support web servers and other servers via scheduled maintenance, performance tuning, and monitoring Build applications to agreed upon specifications within the required timeframe and budget Architect new features in the Drupal CMS and manage the implementation of all CMS features Demonstrate deep understanding of LAMP performance and configuration Conduct peer-reviews of PHP application code, ensuring that all code complies with team standards Work with Database Developers to design new features with attention to performance and scalability Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications Minimum three (3) years developing web sites using PHP Minimum three (3) years of experience with Drupal, including at least two (2) years of experience with Drupal 6/7 Eligibility Requirements Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT Must be willing to submit to a background investigation Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States Must be 18 years or older Desired Characteristics Understanding of Drupal theming and module development Experience developing a large scale commercial web application running Drupal Proficient in coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery Able to work independently and as a member of a large team Capable of managing multiple deliverables and completing assigned tasks quickly Passion for professional sports and an interest in digital media Innovative and flexible thinker, comfortable suggesting solutions and willing to take risks Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines Committed to quality in every assignment, large or small Source:
