CNC Machining Programmer

Direct hire! CNC Machining Programmer:
Candidate will create programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) Milling Centers and Lathes.
Collaborates with engineers on design and prototyping, designs and manufactures all tooling.
Collaborates with engineers and supervisor to improve machining processes.
Ensures all CNC Programming is to specifications to ensure conformance.
Assists in determining corrective action where non-compliance issues are identified.
Supports manufacturing lines and new product development work/parts.
Assists in training and developing associates within his/her work group for maximum flexibility, maximizing the department's human capital.
Maintains expected safety and productivity standards.
Maintains his/her operation within expected safety and productivity standards.
Competent in the handling of hazardous wastes within expected legislative requirements relevant to this position.
Analyzes and assesses blueprints and or other reports and identifies trends or issues that require action.
Uses technology effectively, is technically competent in all aspects of CNC Programming, understands technical issues related to his/her position, a functional expert.
Provides feedback to CNC Supervisor, upper level management, Engineers and other appropriate personnel on programming or tooling issues in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements:
Three to five years experience in creating programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) turning and milling centers.
Understands quality control processes and has worked in a continuous improvement environment.
Has worked in a team based environment, understands team dynamics, builds teams and has proven experience in improving machining processes.
Ability to comprehend related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings and machining methods and sequences.
Knowledge Desired:
Well developed communication skills in written and verbal formats.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to identify problems and make mechanical adjustments.
Knowledge of programming software applications:
Solidworks and Mastercam, Microsoft Office, ERP applications, good basic keyboarding skills.
Knowledge of mathematics and English language skills associated with the completion of a High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
Proficient in CNC milling center programming, machine design and manufacture fixture tooling.
