AV Technician
We are seeking an experienced structured cable technician with A/V experience for numerous commercial installations. We have a significant work load in the Gainesville area and are in need of quality technicians with a good attitude and excellent work ethic.
Qualifications:
Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT 6 cable in a new construction commercial environment
MUST HAVE AV RACK INSTALL EXPERIENCE
Dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
Testing cable/troubleshooting networking issues Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
At least 1 year of experience working as a cable technician and installing audio visual equipment preferably in a commercial environment (smart boards, projectors, etc). Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc. Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
