Job Description: LogistiCare is the nation's leading managed healthcare organization specializing in the management of healthcare transportation benefits. LogistiCare's client base consists of state and local government agencies (Medicaid agencies, transit authorities, school boards), managed care organizations and hospitals. LogistiCare is not a provider of transportation vehicles (we do not physically own vehicles). Instead, LogistiCare manages a network of transportation providers and provides the administrative infrastructure to authorize services and provide billing and claims payment functionality allowing LogistiCare to offer a complete outsourcing solution to our clients.
LogistiCare is recruiting a Development Business Analyst to work within the Jacksonville, Florida area.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Software Business Analyst will be the lead analyst for one or more software engineering projects working with the architects, software engineers, and end-users as well interacting with organizational stakeholders. The analyst will gather and analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical requirements for use by the Development team to build and configure the required systems using company technical standards.
Focus spreads across several systems and the integration of those systems to deliver maximum efficiency and business value. The analyst must consider information flow and data requirements, as well as make strategic decisions about what functionality belongs inside what system.
The analyst plays a role in clarifying, updating, and improving the business processes impacted by the changes that are part of technology projects. This requires partnership with various members of the company's business community to elicit process and define end-to-end updates accepted by all groups.
The Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities include:
Create, analyze, and validate detailed business and technical requirements, workflow and system analytics; articulate functional and non-functional system requirements
Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, and must be able to interact in a service-oriented environment
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance, and technology needs
Identify the current- and future-state business processes and create technical rules specifications appropriate for business rules creation
Collaborate with the IT staff on change and release management for all application systems, production change, implementation, and documentation
Deliver elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed artifacts
Participate in integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing
Qualifications and
Experience:
5 or more years of technical business analysis experience on software engineering projects
Skilled doing formal requirements documentation
Demonstrated independent judgment and strong analytic ability to solving complex systems issues
Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple agile development teams
Preferred Skills and Certifications
Bachelor's degree in a computer science, engineering, mathematics, or science
Conceptual understanding of a Java micro-services architecture environment
Knowledgeable with Atlassian Tools set (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
