Responsible for time and leave administration Responsible for consult management and distribution of consult activity reports Provides general administrative support to the Service and Sections by; inventory and ordering of supplies; facilitation of patient care; reviewing of correspondence for proper spelling, punctuation, formatting, and grammar; creating, organizing, and maintaining records; processing mail; and other duties as assigned Information Manager for Service Compile and verify accuracy of statistical data for reports, charts, or records, extracting data from documents and posting or tabulating it to work sheets or other office records. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Qualifying specialized experience includes:
Clerical and administrative experience handling the daily and routine operations of an office, including greeting walk-in visitors, answering telephones, preparing correspondence, reports, policies/bulletins, taking and transcribing minutes, and providing accurate information concerning the Service and NF/SG VHS. Using proper English grammar, spelling, and punctuation to prepare correspondence and to correct errors in materials. Understanding of medical terminology; Operating a computer with various word processing and data management programs; working use of CPRS and VISTA; Skill in the operation of other equipment associated with general office work (fax, copies, etc). There is no educational substitution in lieu of the Specialized Experience at this grade level. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:
Clerical Customer Service Administrative Support Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note:
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements:
The work is generally sedentary. The work requires the ability to move around the office, the Medical Center, and various offices at the University of Florida. It also requires carrying some items, such as records, books, or papers, and pushing carts holding equipment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
