RN Assistant Nurse Manager SICU-CTICU
The Assistant Nurse Manager is expected to be an experienced RN interested in working in a leadership role in the SICU/CTICU. This position requires the dedication and commitment of an experienced RN to function in a leadership role, to include but not limited to schedule, mentor, and supervisor nursing staff members as well as to facilitate patient flow and positive patient outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills are required with recent leadership experience. The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is responsible for assessment, planning, provision, and evaluation of nursing services in specified areas. Major Duties Directs and organizes patient flow in assigned area Maintains unit schedule Grants leave for staff Coordinates the provision of care Assists staff to fulfill performance expectations Assist and prepares Data collection tools for the Assigned area Leads interdisciplinary problem solving at the area and /or program level Mentors less experienced nurses , other RNs in expanded roles, and/or students Ensures that, within the scope of duties, confidential information is at all times safeguarded Performs other duties as assigned Work Schedule:

OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of nursing practice/experience; OR an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience; OR a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) with no additional nursing practice/experience. Must complete any applicable annual Employee Health requirements, such as annual TB screening or testing, as a condition of employment.
