RN, Nurse Manager (PERIOPERATIVE, WOUND/OSTOMY TEAM)

This position requires the dedication and commitment of an experienced RN to function in a leadership role, to include but not limited to schedule, mentor and supervisor nursing staff members as well as to facilitate patient flow and positive patient outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills are required with recent leadership experience. Major duties:
Organizes care delivery for the Wound Care program in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team in a manner that promotes continuity and accountability for patient care. Provides direct care to the Wound care patient including providing treatment and dressing changes. Actively participates in the development of Service Line/Service philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures. Is responsible for assuring that philosophy, objectives and necessary policies and procedures are implemented. Proactively implements procedures and monitors compliance by staff members. Initiates and implements corrective actions as indicated. Initiates and leads program planning and problem identification/resolution leading to an improvement of care for the Wound Care program. Effectively manages assigned resources and identifies creative strategies to increase efficiency within area(s) and program. Evaluates staffing needs in terms of quantity and practice level of personnel required. Prepares reports and analyzes data to assure resources are efficiently used, while providing quality care in assigned area(s). Takes a leadership role in providing input and participating in the budgetary process at the area(s) and service level. Evaluates the need for new equipment, plans for future equipment, and space needs on the unit. Explores and evaluates equipment options and completes preparation of required request. Manages assigned control funds. Collaborates with other professionals to participate in recruitment and retention of quality staff. Appropriately guides and counsels staff with supervisory consultation. Addresses performance issues and conduct problems in a timely manner. Completes performance appraisals and proficiency reports in a timely manner allowing for staff participation with the evaluation process. Recognizes and rewards positive performance and outcomes. Monitors standards of care and practice application in assigned area(s) and initiates/leads changes as appropriate Work Schedule:

Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant:
The Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. OR The completion of coursework equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. Students should submit the certificate of professional nursing to sit for the NCLEX to the VA along with a copy of the MSN transcript. (Reference VA Handbook 5005, Appendix G6) OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement for graduation from an approved school of professional nursing. Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia. Experience:
Bachelors in Nursing or related field, required Masters in Nursing or related field preferred Minimum five years of successful nursing practice with at least three years of recent progressive clinical leadership responsibilities. Minimum oftwo years wound care experience utilizing multiple treatment modalities to include negative pressure wound therapy applications, etc. required. Certification in Wound/Ostomy required or a commitment to obtain within one year of assignment to this position Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in interdisciplinary teams preferred BLS certification required Demonstrated strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills required. Above average computer skills. Demonstrated dependability and flexibility. Demonstrated above average leadership skills preferred including work with data collection, staffing and TJC requirements. Willingness to cover Gainesville and Lake City campus required. Grade Determinations:
The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade:
Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience. Direct patient care work involves considerable walking and standing (up to 12 hours/day), pushing, pulling, bending, and heavy lifting (45 pounds and over). The incumbent accepts assignment on any tour of duty and in whatever area services are required. In-direct patient care work is mostly sedentary. Typically the employee sits comfortably to complete the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items such as patient records and supplies

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
