The Program Support Assistant (OA) position serves as a member of the Community Care Service team. This work will include responding to clinic profile inquiries, Leaf related Clinic profile requires, Matching of Bookable hours to Clinic Profile changes or updates in support of the MAS administrative team, the Lead MSA, Administrative Officer, and the respective clinical supervisors. The PSA works collaboratively with other members of expanded health care teams (i.e. PACT, specialty care_ including Community providers, pharmacists, social workers, dieticians, behavioral health staff, etc. to provide robust interdisciplinary approach to care. Important interfaces and collaborations also occur with larger health care system providers including VA and Community specialist, hospitals, diagnostic and treating facilities, and community based programs. The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Monitors and reviews past and present program resources, forecast requirements to identify trends, discrepancies, and problems requiring further study by higher level employees. Receives calls and correspondence. Screens written communications from customers. Perform significantly complex research using the different software applications and reports. Uses computer to produce accurate and efficient work. Composes letters and other services to request information. Works independently without direct supervision for most administrative functions. Meets the needs of customers while supporting VA missions. Consistently communicates and treats customers (veterans, visitors, staff, and internal and external providers) in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Work Schedule:

This work involves some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of some light items. The work requires the incumbent to be able to move comfortably around the office and when necessary other locations. This is not a virtual position To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. GS-06 grade level:
One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes:
ability to schedule and coordinate appointments, strong ability to function independently, experience working with excel spreadsheets and word documents,evidence of self-direction, excellent customer service and communication skills, basic understanding of organization and administration of multifaceted health care delivery systems, specialty and subspecialty care, data base management. 2-3 years of administrative and/or clinical background, and VA experience, preferred. Applicants may not substitute education for the experience required for the GS-06 level. There is NO Educational Substitution at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
