This posting establishes an open continuous announcement of collecting eligible applicants to be considered for this position. Duties at the VA will be shared equally between three electrophysiology faculty and include the entire spectrum of EP procedures (all devices and the entire spectrum of ablation procedures using state of the art mapping system), education of fellows in-and-outside the lab and staffing the EP consult service. VA CCU and general consult services are shared equally between ten VA cardiology faculty. Outpatient clinic responsibility is as needed, and ongoing scholarly activity is expected. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Physical Requirements. See VA Directive and Handbook 5019. Board Certification:
The position will have faculty status with an affiliated medical school (Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Florida), therefore a medical school requirement for board certification will apply to this jointly recruited position. Preferred
Experience:
Fellowship in Cardiology; Advanced Fellowship in Electrophysiology Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
