Duties Include:
Issues new Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Cards to verified applicants Obtains NACI checks (National Agency check with Written Inquires) Ensures confirmation of the authenticity of a new applicants' VA Form 0711 Reviews form 0711 to ensure it is properly prepared and signed, verifies the identify of the applicant's PIV/NV card by reviewing the state or federal government issued picture ID Must be knowledgeable of manuals, regulations, directives, North Florida/South Georgia Policy Memorandums and Police Service Standard Operating Procedures Provides identification documents to authorized VA staff, volunteers, affiliates and others designated by proper authority Provides periodic up-to-date activity reports detailing the current state of the PIV Issuer activity Shows strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills to successfully work with customer stakeholders Consistently displays a courteous, tactful and respectful manner and provides timely and accurate information and must handle conflicts and problems while dealing with customers in a constructive and appropriate manner Ensures the PIV card applicant understands the logical access capabilities of the PIV card Work Schedule:

Specialized
Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
1)Experience in office administration, good organizational, planning, and record keeping skills 2)Computer proficiency, particularly in MS Word, Excel and Internet experience 3)Excellent communication skills, both written and oral communication skills and customer interface 4)Providing the customer with consistent administrative information according to established administrative policies and procedures 5)Maintenance of confidentiality of patient/employee information OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have four years above high school OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond the second year. For a GS-5 level position only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Physical Requirements:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to perform the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items such as papers and books. There are no special physical requirements to perform the work. Pre-Placement Examination Requirement:
All motor vehicle operators and incidental drivers shall undergo a standard pre-placement examination and periodic medical evaluation at least once every 4 years to ensure that employees who operate government owned or leased vehicles are medically able to do so without undue risk to themselves or others. To qualify as an incidental operator, an employee must possess a valid State license, have a safe driving record, pass a road test, and demonstrate that he or she is medically qualified to operate the appropriate motor vehicle safely. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
