FOOD CONTROL SPECIALIST (COOK)

APD TACACHALE

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA

This is work procuring, checking quality, preparation and issuing food at the Food Service Department.
This is to include but not limited to the following:

Cook, measure and prepares a variety of foods following standard recipes to proper temperatures and chart it on temperature chart.
Check and approve quality of product before cooking or prepping.
Ensures all food is appealing and appetizing.
Determine portions of food in accordance with prescribed diets.
Ensure minimal loss of temperature and quality.
Ensure food is prepped and leftovers are stored properly and in accordance with departmental guidelines.

Maintain high level of sanitation in work and storage areas.
Hair nets and gloves are worn at all times.
Ensure cleanliness while handling food and equipment.
Clean equipment and utensils.

Make daily inventory checks to ensure you have what you need for the menus for the following day according to production sheets.
Chart leftovers with the amount, date, meal and time.

Work on tray line, employee cafeteria or assist with deliveries as assigned.

Perform other related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.

Must be able to work a 40-hour work week.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
