EDUCATION AND TRAINING SPECIALIST

APD TACACHALE

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA

Conducts and coordinates training activities, programs and workshops such as New Employee Orientation (NEO), Zero Tolerance, Core Assurance, Physical and Nutritional Management, CPR, Prevention and Safety Strategies (PASS), and other trainings as needed.

Assists with monitoring of residential facilities to help prepare for AHCA surveys and improve the quality of services.
Completes monitoring reports and provides training and coaching on the homes while monitoring.

Performs fire drills on homes and completes fire drill reports, while assisting staff with training about safety and proper evacuation procedures.

Schedules, coordinates and tracks trainings, prepares records, reports, and enters Training Manager data.

Develops, revises, and/or reviews training materials, curricula, lesson plans, presentations, supporting materials.
Including NEO, PASS, and others as needed.
Evaluates training materials and presentations, using feedback from trainings.

Performs administrative duties, attends meetings, and serves on committees as directed.

Performs other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Training skills, computer skills, ability to operate audio and visual equipment such as, video camera and visual presentation equipment.

Ability to become certified as a Zero Tolerance, Core Assurances, PASS, CPR and Physical and Nutritional Management instructor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S)

A Bachelor s Degree and one (1) year Training experience, and one (1) year experience working with Persons with Disabilities is preferred.

Verifiable work experience can substitute for a Bachelor s degree

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, recording and editing for multimedia presentations.

A valid Florida Driver s License (If initially hired with an out-of-state license the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida State driver s license within 30-days of hire).
License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/ Employment/ Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable.
License that have Corrective Lenses Restricted, are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
